Romance
In romance movies love is the most important thing. They are all about two (or more) lovers, who get obstacles in their way to each other. There is a lot of heartache and bad destiny, but also some happy moments.
There is hardly no movie where we don’t need to consume some handkerchiefs, because the scenes are so heartbreaking that we can’t do anything else than crying.
Two extremely heartbreaking movies were “Titanic” and “Pearl Harbor”. Hardly no woman can watch one of them without a crying fit. Some older examples are Gone with the Wind, Casablanco and Breakfast at Tiffany’s.
A romance movie which plucks our heartstrings is the “modern Cinderellastory” of Pretty Woman with Richard Gere and Julia Roberts. But also Save the last Dance shows us that love can exist between different social groups.
Other movies about love are: The Bridges of Madison County, Cruel Intentions, Out of Africa, Romeo & Juliet, Sleepless in Seattle, Sweet November and Serendipity.
