The American prognosticator John Naisbitt said:” We don’t go to the movies just to watch movies. We go there because we want to laugh and cry with 200 other people.”In a way he was right with that. It is completely different if you watch a movie alone at home or in a cinema. You don’t experience only your own feelings and emotions, but also those of some hundred other people around you. The atmosphere is just better.
The biggest cinema is the “Roxy Theatre” in New York, it has more than 6.200 seats and a visit is a real spectacle.

The biggest number of cinemas is in North America, there are around 21.500, almost so many like in whole Europe. For example in Germany we have 4.300 cinemas.
An exceptional highlight is the so-called “Smell-cinema”. The optic perception is supported by inflowing of smells in the cinema hall.Another highlight is the drive-in cinema.
